Ever-beleaguered Rick Flagg escorts a villain team on an infiltration of Guantanamo Bay to extract a high value prisoner. Being "the bad guys", the Harley Quinn and company aren't going to make things easy on him.

This Suicide Squad Comic Sample was created by Ben Matsuya in the summer of 2017 for a portfolio review at Comic-Con.

This Suicide Squad features Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Croc, and Captain Boomerang landing in Guantanamo Bay with Captain Rick Flagg leading the way. Ben's Suicide Squad tends towards more towards physical comedy, unpredictability, and effervescence. Rick Flagg is Uncle Sam's "straight arrow, straight man" and foil to the team of misfit villains.

He humorlessly plays "mom" as Harley and Croc squirm for space and "Are we there, yet" all the way to Guantanamo. Suddenly, their Huey is attacked by anti-aircraft missiles and the squad springs into action. On closer inspection, it seems like the guards has been infected by some vague virus. After the team lands, Flagg looks for the target, but is ignored by the rest of the squad.

In this portfolio, Ben showcases his ability to tightly make scenes move and flow organically. Some items to look out for are the monsters (Croc and the military guards), machines (the Huey and humvees), a diversity in the panels and a range of facial expressions.
